The customer requested an application that would simplify the selection process for buyers and facilitate the work of the sales consultants. The consultants are often asked questions such as: “Do you have the same lipstick, but in a different color? My favorite perfume is not in this store, can it be found in another store?” and so on. With the help of the application, the buyer can find what interests them.
Most of the customers of cosmetics stores are women. They like to choose products: they taste and smell them, leaf through catalogues, watch videos. The catalogue allows clients to find similar products or watch an engrossing video, gain interest and make an additional purchase.
An application with an intuitive interface. This is a kind of showcase with products available in the store.
The catalogue is like an online store, but without a basket. The products have key characteristics (brand, shade, price, etc.). The client sees even the products that are not available in a particular store.
A convenient content control panel was developed for administrators. It allows them to quickly add or edit a product. Users can also upload and share videos.
We have been working on the project for 9 months. The work was undertaken in three stages: 1) analytics, 2) development, 3) testing and stabilization. There were no problems with analytics, as the client knew their target audience and provided the necessary data.
The development was done in the Kotlin language. It provides full operating system support for everything the application requires.
We started testing the application at the stage of the Alpha version. The performance of the application was tested on tablets and on 3 smartphones. Usability - on tablets only. No devices were harmed during the tests.
It was necessary to transfer the product database to one catalogue. And that is more than 500 products. Each product card should look attractive – include a picture and a description. If we had not come up with anything, we would have had to add everything manually.

“We not only developed the application, but also prepared content for it. It was an interesting experience. It was painstaking work, we could not miss a single detail. The project gave a clear understanding that one needs to be as attentive as possible to the customer’s needs even at the discussion stage and immediately assess how long the implementation process will take”.
We submitted a fully debugged application to the client. Now the client is conducting the final preparations before publishing it – checking the information from the catalogue, adding the products lists, etc.
The tablets with our application are to be installed on the counters with cosmetics in the sales areas of the stores.
